The 10-month ABT program provides the in-depth training needed by today’s office workers to be competitive in the job market.
The program is available at VIU’s Nanaimo and Cowichan campuses. Skills learned include current computer software applications, business English, business calculations, office procedures, customer relations and strong keyboarding skills.
Students choose from three different specialties: Accounting Assistant, Administrative Assistant and Legal Administrative Assistant. At the end of the program, students complete a two-week work placement practicum.
