Jacinda Mack is the Mining Response Coordinator at the Northern Shuswap Tribal Council. Born and raised in Xat¹sull, Jacinda is a community organizer who enjoys fishing, hunting, and harvesting traditional foods. Jacinda has her Masters in Communication and Culture from York University, has conducted research in self-government, and has experience protecting Indigenous land and advising on natural resources policy.
A provincial trade union collective of 19 faculty associations across BC, FPSE welcomed Jacinda Mack to Nicola Valley Institute of Technology in Merrit on November 18, and to Okanagan College Kelowna/Vernon this November 19 and 20.
Ms. Mack will be visiting Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo on Monday December 1; she will give a presentation in building 355 room 203, at 7pm all welcome.
