Join us in our 27th year as we celebrate the holiday season with an impressive array of creative inspirations from 80+ talented local West Coast artists and artisans. First & Last Chance will take place at Sidney’s Mary Winspear Centre offering an impressive range of beautifully handcrafted gift solutions, a chance to win a $200 Vendor Shopping Spree, and hourly door prizes. Olde Country Fare, will be there to provide fabulous food while Brad Prevedores entertains us with his smooth acoustic guitar music.

If you are anything like me, thinking about Christmas right now is quite mad. But experts agree that one of the most important factors leading up to an enjoyable, stress free Christmas is getting your shopping done early! Are you someone who needs to make a list of those you want to ‘gift’ to and set aside time between now and Christmas to find that special something that is meaningful and unique? Or, maybe you are someone who waits until the peak of holiday festivities to get your gift shopping done and aim to cross everyone off the list during a one stop shop.

 Either way, we have the perfect solution for you. The 27^th annual First & Last Chance Christmas Craft Shows will showcase the very best from over 80 incredible West Coast artists and artisans at Sidney’s Mary Winspear Centre. In addition to an impressive range of beautifully handcrafted gifts, you can enter to win a $200 Shopping Spree and hourly door prizes. Olde Country Fare will be there with fabulous food to keep you energized while Brad Prevedores entertains us with his smooth acoustic guitar. 

First Chance, November 5^th and 6^th, is the premiere holiday craft event on the Saanich Peninsula and this year, we welcome 25 new artisans in addition to over 55 veteran favorites. With over 25 categories of artisans work to choose from you are bound to find something for everyone on your shopping list. Start your shopping extravaganza by visiting and sampling wines, spirits and ciders from your local vineyards and cideries. There will be an array of sculptures; whimsical pieces for your garden, and floral art like you’ve never seen before. There will also be plenty of baking (gluten free as well), chocolates, jams and preserves as well as savories: spices preserves and vinegars. First & Last Chance artists will showcase jewelry, stained glass, pottery, hand blown glass and kitchen jewels, table runners, handcrafted bread boards and accessories. You will be delighted by island designed and screen printed clothing, hats, and hand dyed knit and woven pieces. There will also be children’s toys; stunning woodcraft, pen and ink drawings and hand dipped and carved candles, and so much more. With all there is to choose from, you will be able to cross almost everyone off on your Christmas list. You may even find something just for you!

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Last Chance which also takes place at Mary Winspear Centre, six weeks later on December 10^th and 11^th offering your last opportunity to find gifts for that special someone and finish up your Christmas shopping list. Last Chance will also feature over 80 artists but expect a variety of different artists at each show! Our community and talented artists have so much to offer.
