3rd Annual Finders Keepers

From May 1st until Labour Day Weekend visitors and residents in the Oceanside area are treated to a special kind of beach-combers treasure hunt.

Each year the team from Smashin' Glass & Anything Art Co. hides up to 1000 glass sand dollars and a few glass starfish on several local beaches. Beach goers are invited to search for these unique treasures and every find equals a chance to win a glass art class! Our helpers will be hiding new treasures every week for a new chance to discover something special. You won't find these pieces in and dangerous areas or on private property, but you may find them tucked under logs, in tidal pools, hiding in tufts of grass, near beach stones, or below the tide line.

While your in Parksville; come by and visit us! We love to hear about your Finders Keepers searching. We'll teach you all about kiln-formed glass work and show you how its done. You can even try it yourself!

Where: Qualicum Beach, Eagle Crest Beach, Parksville Beach, Rathtrevor Beach, Wall Beach, Brick Yard Bay.
When: May 1st to Sept 2nd
How: Each treasure (called a Finders Keeper) has a number on the back of it. When you find one let us know and we'll enter you to win a prize from the monthly draw! You keep all of the treasures that you find! Spread the word.
