Fin-tastic Friday at the aquarium

Partake in some fishy fun this Pro D day, Friday, February 21st, with Fin-tastic Friday at the Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre.

Fin-tastic Friday will be focused on all things fish and will feature a new craft or activity every half hour from noon to 4pm. Here�s the schedule:

� 12:00�Fish Scale Scoping: Look at real fish scales under the microscope and determine their type then add scales to your very own fish craft to take home.
� 12:30�Shark Creature Feature
� 1:00�Fish Jeopardy: Test your shark and fish knowledge with everyone's favourite game, Jeopardy!
� 1:30�Find the Flatfish
� 2:00�Fish Printing: Try your hand at the ancient Japanese art of Gyotaku, or fish printing.
� 2:30�Shark Creature Feature
� 3:00�Fish Fashion Challenge: Create a fish fashionista using recycled materials. Don't forget your creativity!
� 3:30�What's in a School?: Why is there safety in numbers? Learn the answer, along with several of the other adaptations found in schooling fish.
� All Day- Find the Fins!: Travel through the Centre on a special scavenger hunt to find tail fins! And How many salmon smolts in our salmon school?: Place your best guess. Closest number wins!
