Based on Peter Turner’s memoir, the film stars Annette Bening plays Gloria Grahame, Oscar winning actress and famed femme fatale of Hollywood’s Golden Age. She refuses to believe her best days are behind her in 1978 but finds herself on the stage in England, far from Hollywood and the silver screen where she wishes to be.

It is in Liverpool where she comes across the much younger Turner (Jamie Bell), while she is initially resistant to letting anyone into her life, their connection is immediate and undeniable. Their vibrant relationship takes them on a path neither could have ever imagined at these very different points in their lives. Annette Bening is, as always, absolutely electric on screen and her chemistry with Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) makes this passionate romance an unmissable event.
