Junior and Senior Concerto winners for the 2017 competition will be featured with the Cowichan Consort Orchestra. Music from Holst's Planets will also be performed.
Eight year old Felipe Jiang will play Mozart's Concerto #8 on the piano.
Gillian Newburn and Thomas Bauer who both tied first place -senior division will join forces and perform Dopplers' Andante and Rondo for 2 flutes and Orchestra.
Robert Mari conducts. Know and love "I vow to thee My Country" ?.... will here is your chance to hear it in Holst's 'Jupiter' one of the several planets to be performed. Love that Star Trek music? ...come and hear the orchestra play music from "Outer Space".
A perfect concert for youth also- featuring our Youth on the Island. Tickets available at the Door, Volume One Bookstore on Kenneth St in Duncan, and from orchestra members.
