This year's Concerto winner is 17 year old Elana Lin, a Victoria violinist. She will play her Saint Saens Concerto # 3 and the orchestra will accompany her, conducted by Pippa Williams. Also on the program is Franck's d minor Symphony and Rossini's Thieving Magpie Overture. Tickets are available at the door or from Volume One Bookstore on Kenneth St. The Concerto Competition was started in 1994 and is open to any Vancouver Island musician 26 years and under. Elana will also receive her Consort Bursary for winning this year's competition.
