Sandhu shares that..."I believe the watercolour medium is unforgiving and complex. But there also is a softness to it, which creates a mood that is powerful yet understated at the same time.

In an impressionist manner, I capture the essence of the subject using strong tonal values along with bright colours to achieve balance. My subjects vary from rural landscapes to seascapes, to busy street scenes, much of it taken from photographing my local surroundings. My paintings start with a strong composition of what I see, and happen quick as the paint flows, evolving as my perspective evolves. What I love about the act of painting is how it can be unpredictable and exciting, allowing me to be fearless.
