Caroline Adderson is an internationally-published author of novels, short stories, and books for young readers.  She is also the editor and co-contributor of a non-fiction book of essays and photographs, Vancouver Vanishes.  Her work has received numerous award nominations including the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, two Commonwealth Writers’ Prizes, the Governor General’s Literary Award, the Rogers’ Trust Fiction Prize, and the Scotiabank Giller Prize longlist.  Winner of three BC Book Prizes and three CBC Literary Awards, Caroline was also the recipient of the 2006 Marian Engel Award for mid-career achievement.  She lives in Vancouver. www.carolineadderson.com, www.carolineaddersonkids.com.

Prolific multi-genre writer Shelley Leedahl left prairie winters behind forever when she moved to Ladysmith in 2014. Her titles include The Bone Talker, a multi-award-winning children's book translated into Chinese, Korean , and Braille; Orchestra of the Lost Steps, a short story collection shortlisted for Saskatchewan's Book of the Year; the much-taught juvenile novel Riding Planet Earth; and her most recent, the essay collection I Wasn't Always Like This. Leedahl also works as a freelance writer and editor, and she frequently presents across Canada. Her 12th book will be released in 2017 with Red Deer Press.   

Kevin Flesher has been writing for quite a while now. He has written several plays, several books of poetry, many songs and a few stories. His writing has gotten him both into and out of trouble. Last year, Kevin was selected as the first ever Poet Laureate of the Comox Valley. In this capacity he has organized many poetry events and gatherings, organized a poetry contest and readings for students and written special poems for special occasions. He lives in Cumberland with his wife, two lovely daughters and dog, Pancake.
