David Carpenter is the current writer-in-residence at Haig Brown House in Campbell River. He is a prolific writer who has published award winning fiction, non-fiction and poetry. He lives in Saskatoon where he’s taught at the University of Saskatchewan since 1975. His latest book titled, The Education of Augie Merasty: A Residential School Memoir was just released in February 2015 and has been chosen by CBC as one of its Canlit 15.
