Family Garden Days and Big Plant Sale Family Day is on Saturday with face painting, balloon animals kids crafts and live music We have a great assortment of heritage tomato plants and much more!
Each year volunteers from the Nanaimo Community Gardens Society's Greenhouse site raise beautiful, well-grown herb, vegetable and flower seedlings. These seedlings are grown without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides from non-GMO seeds and are sold to backyard gardeners throughout Nanaimo and area.
Join us for two days of educational gardening activities at our Pine Street Community Garden. This free family event will include free workshops for families, live music and a wide selection of naturally grown, open-pollinated heritage plants. This time of year will be the ideal time for planting out your tender annual vegetables.
The Pine Street Community Garden is located behind the Foodshare Centre at 271 Pine St. Parking may be limited during the busiest times so be prepared to park on the street or nearby.
