FAMILY CHRISTMAS CAROL SING-ALONG CONCERT
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Come raise your voice in joyous harmony with the community, Peter Butterfield and the Victoria Philharmonic Choir, at our annual celebration of Christmas carols.
The all-ages audience is invited to join in on traditional favourites such as Once in Royal David’s City and Good King Wenceslas, and as always, the young singers have their own special place on the program.
Tenor soloist Josh Lovell joins us for O Holy Night, with Michael Molnar at the organ throughout the concert. This year’s concert also takes a warming trip to Latin America, with a setting of O Magnum Mysterium by the contemporary Venezuelan composer Cesar Alejandro Carrillo, and the Argentinian carol El Cielo Canta Alegria (Heaven is Singing for Joy) by Pablo Sosa, accompanied by classical guitarist Andrei Burdeti and a string quartet!
Doors will open by 6.30, and benches at the front are reserved for families with small children. Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended, as this concert sells out every year.
