Tue, May 26th, 7-9pm, Extreme Ultrarunning Adventures Around the World, with Dave Gilbert & Jackie Windh Dave and Jackie are local ultrarunners and endurance athletes, and founders of the popular outdoor adventure blog DaveandJackieRun, www.daveandjackierun.wordpress.com.
Join them for an evening as they explain what the extreme sport known as "ultrarunning" actually is, and to hear stories and see photos from their races in some of the wildest and most remote locations around the world - places only accessible on foot - including Costa Rica, Guadeloupe, Patagonia and India, as well as ultramarathons closer to home here in BC and in Washington state.
Admission for the evening is by donation to the artist OR a book purchase - it will be a fun and unique community event.
