A world premiere! Willie is a 72-year old Tsimshian man who has become cut off from his culture, and the world. Viv is a raging granny who’s determined to make her golden years count. When Viv’s teenage granddaughter Mads gets a job shopping for Willie, their lives intersect in ways that change all three, in a moving and often mischievously funny new play.

Co-presented with Nanaimo Seniors Connect and the Nanaimo Women’s Centre, Extended Wings is an insightful look at the growing problem of seniors’ isolation, and at our need for human connection, whatever our age.
