Expressive Still Life with Acrylic (Registration Code: 122899)
Saturday March 1: 10am � 4pm
In this workshop, you will learn how to be a more expressive painter. Learn about colour theory, the dramatic use of colour and loose brush work. We will start by painting 3 small works from a simple subject, such as a pear, which you will learn to paint in 3 different styles. This exercise will be quick and spontaneous and attention will be given to colour use, large brush strokes and subject versus background. In the afternoon you will work on a larger still life using what you have learned to develop the work, paying attention to colour, composition, texture and line.
