EXPLORE THE OCEAN... with The Explorers Club at the Robert Bateman Centre in Victoria, Oct 2nd, 2014!

Join us for a gathering about our oceans- talks, discussion, reception, and film.

Victoria BC, October 2nd, 2014 – Several exceptional community leaders will be sharing their passion for the ocean at Explore The Ocean Day. This event takes place at the Robert Bateman Centre located on Victoria’s inner harbour. Event activities will take audiences underwater and along our coastlines to highlight the riches and beauty of our marine environments. In the morning, The Fish Eye Project will host live broadcasts of shipwreck dives at 9am & 11am. In the evening, between 7pm-9pm, members of the local community wil...l have the opportunity to connect with local explorers, researchers, filmmakers, and ocean enthusiasts. Find out what makes the ocean such a special place to discover and why we need to protect it now more than ever! Evening activities will include three talks, gallery admission, refreshments, and a film-screening.

Explore the Ocean Day has been organized to connect people to their marine backyard and learn more about its wonderful diversity of life! Join the Robert Bateman Centre, The Explorers Club, local explorers, not-for-profit-organizations, artists, and your fellow ocean lovers for a wonderful day of discovery! Entrance is by donation (recommended $10) and proceeds from this event support The Fish Eye Project and its free live dive broadcast programs as well as the Robert Bateman Centre’s programs. Everyone is welcome to attend. Refreshments will be provided at this event thanks to local sponsors.
