‘Interbeing’ is a term that describes the relationships between and within components of the manifest world. These elements could be contained in our personal organic body, species in an ecosystem, societies and their natural environment, spiritual understanding of human relationships and humans in the cosmos. This seminar will include literature as well as practices for experiential investigation of interbeing. We will explore some of the varieties of systems thinking and interbeing offered by writers such as Charles Eisenstein, Thich Nhat Hanh, Joanna Macy, Daniel Christian Wahl, Teilhard de Chardin, Thomas Berry, Duane Elgin, and many others. Examples of biophyllia, systems thinking, biomimicry and design for sustainability will also be offered.
