Tracing their roots back to 1861 when the Ferrer family first started a winery to the present day where the same family still owns and operates this world class winery. Located near the Mediterranean next to the Catalan city of Barcelona, Freixinet produces only methode champenoise sparkling wines. The wines go through two fermentations with the second fermentation taking place in the bottle.
