1:00 PM to 2:30 PM

In recent years, creating more inclusive and diverse environments to work, learn and study in has been a key focus – and ongoing struggle – for many post-secondary and public institutions and organizations. This work requires a deep commitment to identify barriers, uncover unconscious bias in processes such as hiring, and develop new ways to celebrate and promote diversity and ultimately transform culture.

Join us for a panel discussion on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the Post-Secondary and Public Sectors. Hear from our panel of experts in the public and post-secondary sectors on strategies they are using at their own organizations to address EDI as well as their thoughts on the path forward.

Patrick Borbery, President of the Public Service Commission

Gina Wilson, Deputy Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Youth, Government of Canada

Dr. Deb Saucier, President and Vice-Chancellor, VIU

Dr. Jude Mary Cénat, Professor, University of Ottawa
