Start up in studio July 4th, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm, on location July 8, 15, 22, 10 am-1 pm
Day 1: Learn how light affects seeing, how to use perspective and colour and get ready for the outdoor sessions.
Day 2-4: meet at different locations to gain practical experience ‘en plein air’ . Students will learn how to play with the ever changing conditions. Plein air artists challenge themselves to complete a painting in each sitting. You may find however that painting in nature initiates a deeper awareness of place, where the process becomes more important than the outcome. Materials list will be sent upon registration
Sheila Karrow is an award winning artist who works primarily in watercolor and acrylic. Her art reflects her curiosity and a close connection with the natural world. Find her at sheilakarrow.com.
