Come out for the opening reception of 'Elusive Labour' a Artist - in - Residence show opening on Friday Aug 20 at 6pm. But if you can't make it on friday dont worry, the show runs from Aug 20 - Sept 5. Elusive Labour is a solo exhibition by visual artist Ksenia Kil. This body of work is an attempt to understand the complex history of the marginalized identities of the Eastern Slavic Woman. By creating and deconstructing traditional cookware, Ksenia focuses on the stories of female labour which reflected their reality, but were ignored in the process of modernization. This exhibition is an attempt to envision Woman without a name, without context, to envision her life, without objectification and to find a sense of belonging from what is left - elusive labour.
