Citing influences from legendary singers like Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald to modern artists like Lauryn Hill and Norah Jones, Doty's music is a collection of genres and styles - rich, sultry, smooth vocals blend effortlessly with jazzy guitar chords, bluesy Hammond organ, and pop-r&b stylings. Among being a Top 20 finalist for Canada�s Got Talent, a second-round artist in CBC�s Searchlight Contest, and an outstanding soloist in the 2013 Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, Doty also had the unique opportunity to perform with jazz-legend Dave Mancini in New York in September of 2012 after being invited to study with Robert White of Juilliard. Her new EP has received rave reviews and is currently at no.3 on the Top 50 Chart for CJSW Radio and no.1 on the jazz chart. CBC, CKUA, and numerous other stations have also been playing her music regularly.

Doty and her band raised nearly $10,000 for this tour through an indiegogo crowd-funding campaign and also received a touring grant from Alberta Music. Zoom Media has generously donated advertising in some of her major tour cities including Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton. Doty and her band will also be performing at a number of the Fairmont Hotels in Western Canada along the way due to her connection as a weekly performer at the Fairmont Palliser in Calgary. The tour kicks off in Vancouver on July 15th and finishes in Calgary on August 11th. She will be joined on this tour by an all-star cast of jazz musicians including her co-writer and guitarist Josh Crowhurst of Calgary, pianist Daniel Reynolds of Vancouver, upright bassist Conrad Good of Vancouver, drummer Adam Cormier of Nanaimo (also toured with Hey Ocean!), and special guest Oliver Miguel of Calgary on the sax.
