Elkhorn Ridge is a powerhouse trio born from the stages of the pub circuit in Victoria. A common love of traditional Folk, Bluegrass and Celtic music is the binder for this band. Expect a jam packed set of fun-filled sing-a-longs, virtuoso flat picking and tight harmonies.

James Whittall has been a professional musician for several years. His passion and enthusiasm for the mandolin has taken him across the country; though his genuine love and natural ability to share his knowledge means he is in high demand as both instructor and performer, keeping him close to home in Victoria.

Alex MacCuaig is best known as a member of frequent Folk Club guest 'Black Angus', and also performs regularly with other Island acts. He has studied jazz and classical performance, and incorporates those ideas into the classic folk, Celtic and bluegrass sounds. He's excited to be back at the VFMS with this new project and new friends.

Aaron Murray was raised in the Acadian culture-rich reaches of Moncton, NB. He is steeped in folk/country tradition and adheres to the power of music to heal, entertain and empower. Aaron has painstakingly whittled a subtly celebratory catalogue of finely crafted song and story over the last 25 years.
