Please join us to learn more about the new public school opening in Nanaimo in September 2014. The school will be located at the Boys and Girls Club at 20 Fifth Street, Nanaimo. It is an innovative education model that will include three key components;

1. Primary School � kindergarten to grade 3 � one classroom initially.
2. Early Years Programming � including early literacy, licensed childcare, before and after school programming.
3. Wrap Around of Services � a variety of community programs for children, youth and families.

Our vision for the school is to provide culturally responsive instruction, lots of time outdoors and in community, play-based learning, personalized learning, strength-based assessments, project based learning and a focus on communication, collaboration and critical thinking.

Thursday June 19th at 6:30 pm � 1135 Nelson Street

This is a collaborative and innovative project that includes the following partners: Nanaimo Aboriginal Centre, Boys and Girls Club of Central Vancouver Island, School District #84 and Mid Island Metis Nation.
