LANGFORD – A new Westshore business is revving-up for a weekend celebration filled with motorcycles and music to mark the official grand opening of Duncan’s Speed and Cycle.
After a career in motorcycle sales, service and repairs with Harley-Davidson that has spanned more than two decades, Duncan Rourke has launched the island’s newest chopper shop and brought with him a loyal following of island motorcycle riders and enthusiasts.
The Saturday event boasts a show-and-shine competition of some of the city’s best motorcycles, offering seven categories of bikes ranging from mild-to-wild customs and a people’s choice award. Entertainment includes performances by burlesque and roller skate entertainers.
The grand opening, which provides a great way to celebrate the Father’s Day weekend with dad, will also serve as a fundraising event for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
