Singer/songwriter Emily Paton, a close runner up at Duncan's Got Talent 2014, performs at Duncan Showroom.

About Emily Paton

Even from a young age, Emily Paton was singing and dancing around the house. When she was 9, she began to write music, and show an interest in acting. She auditioned and got a small part in a local production of Peter Pan, and grew more and more fond of the stage. In grades 7 and 8, she got roles in her school plays.

In grade 8, her song writing hit a new note (no pun intended). She began to write more and more, even learning how to play piano and guitar to help make them more musical. And it stayed this way throughout her freshman year of high school.

Then, in her grade 10 (sophomore) year, she reached a new level in her career. She was writing more and more frequently, and performing more often at places such as the Duncan Garage. She also played Petra in The Chrysalids. She also earned the Junior Theatre Arts Award and got 2nd in a talent competition at her school.

Emily continues to pursue a career in the arts, by posting covers on her YouTube channel. She has also started making more mainstream YouTube videos (funny videos, tags, etc..). She enjoys every minute of it, and is extremely grateful for the support she has from friends, family and her fans.
