Ted has written the book to accompany his weekly lecture series at the University of Victoria. It offers a comprehensive and holistic view of humanity�s relationship with cannabis through history into the present day. It will also be of interest to anyone who would like to know more about the solutions that this plant offers to many of the environmental and economic problems faced by the world today, from supplying renewable food, fuel, textiles, and building materials, to providing inexpensive and easily accessible medicine.
Ted has been making the news regularly since he began his career of activism when he moved to Victoria in 1996. The Hempology 101 Textbook represents the culmination of this work to date, explaining in great detail the many reasons he feels so passionately that this plant deserves legitimation in the eyes of law and culture.
The release of the book is timely, as it falls in the wake of many highly public statements made by politicians, doctors, lawyers, judges, and academics as to the harms caused by prohibition, and the good that will come from legalization.
