As an ethical trade fair, FIESTA is “commerce with a conscience.” At the May 11 Fiesta event you will find indigenous crafts and products from around the world, including clothing from Uganda, jewelry made by street youth from Ethiopia, scarves from Guatemala, wool carpets from Nepal, pottery from Nicaragua, organic tea from Assam India, fair trade coffee from Nicaragua, as well as local crafts and products made by members of Cowichan Intercultural Society.
Vendors are a mix of non-profits, educational organizations, local groups and small businesses, but all of them have a direct link to the producers and crafts people whose goods they sell.
