A Free Family Day of Fun! Join hundreds of attendees as 2700 rubber ducks are launched at noon into the Sooke River at the Sooke Harbourside Lions’ 13th annual “Duck Day at the Flats” on Saturday, May 11th .
In addition to the famous duck race, the day also includes a myriad of festivities like a hot dog concession, games, bouncy castle, face painting and more. There is something for everyone! The first 5 ducks to cross the finish line win! First grand prize is $1000 cash!
Duck tickets ($5 each or $20 for a pack of 5) can be purchased at SFRS Community Thrift Store, Pemberton Holmes, Sooke Laundromat and at the Sooke River Campground Office.
Get your tickets early. Last year, the tickets sold out! Proceeds go to local charities!
