This one-day workshop with celebrated artist, César Medina, will guide you through the process of drawing your own beautiful works with charcoal. This workshop is suitable for beginner to intermediate artists. Through a series of demonstrations, sketching exercises, and sample works, we will study line, shape, blocking, proportions, volume, mapping and form.
Please Bring the Following Materials:
-Sketch or Mixed Media Block or Pad (Pro-Art Strathmore Mixed Media Paper 11 x 14" is recommended)
-Kneadable Eraser such as Faber Castell
-Charcoals in any form and different hardnesses
-Packed lunch and water bottle
About Your Instructor:
César Medina is a Mexican born artist and musician who resides on the Bay of Banderas in Nayarit, MX. As a portrait and figure artist, he works in graphite, charcoal, metal point and sanguine. His portraits hang in the homes of patrons, family and friends from all over the world. César works with his students to use their tools and abilities in creating authentic artworks that they can be proud of.
