Drawing: Walking & Memory
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Students will use walking as a method for making a series of drawings in this new course. Movement through space will be examined in parallel with mark making; wherein both practices become expressions of embodied knowledge.
Students will complete a series of walks and works in class, and present this series in completion at the culmination of the course. Historical context to walking- based practice will be given in a series of informal slideshows and talks. Students will discover how walking can be an exciting source for content in their drawings.
