The C. G. Jung Society of Victoria presents New Mexico based Monika Wikman, PhD, author of Pregnant Darkness: Alchemy and the Rebirth of Consciousness (2005), Jungian Analyst and Astrologer; Friday November 13 (lecture from 7-9 pm at Alix Goolden Performance Hall, VCM) and Saturday November 14 (workshop from 10-3:30 pm at Alix Goolden Recital Hall, VCM, 907 Pandora Ave., Victoria.) Her topic - "Refining the Inner Bullshit Dectector: Humour, Hermes and the Human Shadow" outlines her journey through life-challenging cancer diagnosis to healing and 30 year recovery.
Combining the wisdom of alchemical and Jungian traditions, Monika's visit promises to enrich our personal understanding of the relationship between illness, inner truth, acceptance, humour and recovery.
Monika's book Pregnant Darkness: Alchemy and the Rebirth of Consciousness (2005) is available at bookstores in town.
