Meet in the front lobby of the Howard Johnson Hotel to join a group of walkers who welcome new participants in a 5/11/12-k downtown heritage walk. Registration opens at 9:45 a.m. and walk starts at 10:00 a.m. Walkers go at their own pace and time to complete a 5-km walk is approximately 1 hour, 2 hours for a 10-km walk. Bastion City Wanderers is part of the Volkssport organization, an international walking group that promotes friendship, fitness and fun while doing active, non-competitive events.
