Doctor Assisted Suicide: How Should We Move Forward?
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
In the wake of a monumental Supreme Court ruling, Carter v. Canada, doctor assisted suicide is becoming legal in Canada. Hear Dr. Laura Shanner, researcher and consultant in health care ethics, discuss moral issues in moving forward. Who should or should not qualify for doctor assisted suicide? The mentally ill? Mature minors? Come out and debate these and other issues with her.
This is the second talk in a two-part lecture series on doctor assisted suicide. The first, "Is Doctor Assisted Suicide Acceptable?," takes place on April 7th (same time, same place). It will consist of a debate between Dr. Paul Kamill (for) and Dr. Oscar Clemotte (against), with Dr. Laura Shanner (moderating).
