Angela Ireland, Chris Newstead, Francesca Bitonti and Heather Burns are the lead vocals and musical director of Dock Side Drive, one of the West Coast’s hottest swing & show bands. They entertain audiences with music of the classic swing genre with a fresh “Little Big Band” style and sound. They offer a blend of show tunes that will usher you through more than seven decades of song, including the music of Ray Charles, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, The Beatles, with a large repertoire of tunes such as Straighten Up & Fly Right, Route 66, Blue Skies, Sunny Side of the Street, Hit That Jive Jack, Hallelujah I Just Love Him So, Jump, Jive & Wail, They Can’t Take That Away From Me, Someone to Watch Over Me, Puttin on the Ritz, At Last. And dozens more. Dock Side Drive has toured their high energy, engaging shows in theatres & festivals through western Canada, performed on stages including Victoria’s Symphony Splash, Butchart Gardens, Government House, Saanich Fair, and at home in Hermanns Jazz Club.
