Dinner by La Bruschetta Bistro will include Irish favorites such as roast lamb, corn beef with cabbage, alongside traditional Irish vegetables and potatoes.

Vancouver’s John Pippus (lead vocals, guitar) has lived a life filled with music and well-earned stories. SoundProof Magazine has declared him "…a folk/roots gem, "the Vancouver Province says he's "…a refined tunesmith with serious pop hooks."Earshot Magazine says, "He has a gift for making us believe that he's been down the road and around the block, and is still kickin' it.”

John is debuting his quartet, The John Pippus Valley Band. Joining him onstage are three of Port Alberni’s favorite musicians: Port Alberni’s own Dennis Olsen (guitar) perfected his craft through studies of music and guitar in Canada, England, and Spain. From his classical guitar recitals, to nightclubs and dance halls playing blues, rock and country, he has been delighting and amazing audiences with his guitar prowess for over forty years.

Port Alberni’s own John Dryden (bass) has played in over 175 towns/cities in Canada with noted Canadian recording artists Trooper, Lee Aaron, Toronto and Headpins. He also recorded six CDs and toured Europe with The Tim Lawson Band. He has a gold CD for playing on the Trooper CD "The Last Of The Gypsies". Port Alberni’s own James Van Metre (drums) is a graduate of Alberni District Secondary School Stage Band Jazz program. 2012 Interior Jazz Festival best drummer and percussionist.

Also joining the band is special guest Jenna White (background vocals and percussion). Jenna is from the North Shore of Lake Erie has lived in BC for 6 years now. She grew up playing guitar, singing and writing songs. Jenna won a radio song-writing contest in 2003. She is currently enrolled in the Nursing program at North Island College.

Doors open at 6:30 pm. Dinner at 7:15PM. John Pippus solo at 8:30PM. The John Pippus Valley Band dancing from 9:00PM.

The band will play a mix of John’s original songs and rock, blues, and soul classics from the 60s, 70s, and beyond, that will keep you moving all night long. www.johnpippus.com
