Do you wonder what makes a good composition? Or why one design stands out more than another? This workshop will introduce you to some basic design concepts through simple imaginative exercises that use collage as a way of creating immediate compositions. You will learn how to use geometric and organic shapes, colour, texture and pattern to create dynamic visual tension. You will develop skills in this one-day workshop that will be useful in many kinds of art- related projects.
Design for Beginners is suitable for a total novice or an experienced designer in search of a fresh perspective.
