Deep Cove Folk Club presents Soundings Vocal Ensemble

Soundings is a 26-voice auditioned vocal ensemble founded by its Director, Denis Donnelly, in 2001. Soundings sings mostly in unaccompanied 4 (or more) part harmony, and delights in singing music that is not often heard as choral music. Their repertoire includes music from Medieval times right through to contemporary, including innovative and delightful arrangements of many contemporary artists including such performers as James Taylor, Lennon/McCartney, Sinead O�Connor, Gordon Lightfoot, Stan Rogers, and many others.
This December presentation at the Deep Cove Folk Club will include traditional and contemporary pieces embodying the spirit of the Christmas Season and the turning year. With a selection of songs from such diverse places as Yorkshire, Norway, Caucasus Georgia, the Deep South, the Appalachians, and Medieval England, Soundings will take you on an enchanting and eclectic Seasonal musical journey.
Soundings has a well-deserved reputation for presenting concerts that are tightly rehearsed, entertaining, and fun!
