Dean McTaggart has been on the top end of Canada�s song writing community for the past decade, McTaggart's music career was launched in 1981 as the lead singer/songwriter of the Canadian pop/rock group The Arrows.
An independent record release co-produced by Daniel Lanois was followed by a record deal with A&M Records. Writing/ performing success followed for The Arrows with two albums released in 1984/85. The 5 years of solid touring in North America and Europe included opening concerts for the likes of Chris DeBurg. After teaming up with David Tyson in the 90�s, Dean hit his stride as a songwriter penning hits for international stars Wynonna Judd, Tina Arena, Terri Clark, Amanda Marshall, Kellie Coffey, Mila Mason and Anne Murray. Dean has won numerous SOCAN and ASCAP Awards and 2 Juno Award nominations for Songwriter Of Year.
