Dave Lang & the Twin Oughtas perform at the Duncan Showroom on November 9.

Dave Lang writes songs that sound like standards and makes standards sound like he wrote them. He calls the music he plays "premium western hokum". It's a blend of 20s jazz and western swing with a generous helping of humour.
Lang and his backing group, "The Twin Oughtas", have appeared everywhere from house concerts to Rifflandia and The Vancouver Island MusicFest. They've toured Western Canada several times. In 2013, the trio logged nearly 200 paid performances.
Lang's songs have been covered by the likes of Corb Lund, Neko Case, Carolyn Mark, and Geoff Berner. He returned the favour with his recorded version of Geoff Berner's "Phony Drawl" for Berner’s project "Festival Man," which was released in fall of 2013. http://www.davelang.com
