About the artists:
Dilly Cooner is a local emerging singer-songwriter, whose music blends storytelling, soul, and rhythm, giving rise to her unique sound and smooth tone. Her voice is warm and rich, mesmerizing audiences whether she’s crooning over guitar or piano. Her debut EP “Picking Weeds from a Garden of Roses” as well as her single “Over Easy” can be found on all streaming platforms.
Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Wes Carroll is dedicated to reaching audiences with his original creations. His writing whisks singer-songwriter, jazz and hip hop into a new kind of froth. Wes is a seasoned performer. He’s played in six Victoria Jazz Festivals, freelanced in a variety of styles, and has held down a regular trio gig at the Empress Hotel. In 2014, he earned a degree in jazz studies from Vancouver Island University. He also completed the masters of jazz performance program at University of Toronto in 2021.
These two artists pair together like milk and cookies! Happy hour specials, including hot cocoa, will be available to enjoy over candlelight.
Open mic info: There is a limit of two songs/poems. A tuned piano is on hand. We invite you to bring your favourite winter -themed piece (open to interpretation!)
