Dancestreams Youth Dance Company, Vancouver Island’s first and longest running pre-professional repertory company, will bring its program of original works by some of Canada’s top choreographers to the Tidemark Theatre on Sunday May 3rd!
New works by Toronto artist Alysa Pires, Michelle Olson (Raven Spirit Dance Company) and Julia Carr (Body Narratives
Collective) will be presented, along with a work by Lisa Gelley Martin (605 Collective) and one by Los Angeles choreographer Benita Bike. This small Company is made up of talented dancers from various Island communities, four of whom hail from the Campbell River area.
Joining the Company in performance will be students from Urban Dance Connection Classical Division, under the direction of Jen Bodnar, and The String Beans, under the direction of Christine Doknjas.
