Curling Champions Portfolio - Opening Viewing Exhibition

Inspired by Olympic Curling Champion and TSN News broadcaster Russ Howard to create a large portfolio of portrait paintings of Canada and World best and brightest Curling Champions.

Artist J. Childs created portfolio to celebrate and support the Champions pursuits of excellence and their charitable works, mentor ship of children and the sport of curling. Like so many other sports have had done, Childs wanted to shine a light on the talent of these athletes.

Childs has close to 30 Champions who have joined the portfolio who she draws then paints in watercolour in their pose of throwing the stone, the broom, the Holler, or one of several others trying to capture that unique essence of each Champion. Just this last weekend International curling stars Thomas Ulsrud of Norway, Niklas Eden of Sweden and Scotland's Tom Brewster have joined the portfolio and Childs will be busy creating their paintings over the two weeks while here in Victoria with Exhibition.
