While you’re there, why not check out some of the Nanaimo Museum’s latest exhibits: From Rationing to Ravishing – Women’s Fashions of the 40s and 50s: From jumpsuits to evening gowns, this exhibition will feature rare examples of haute couture and that reflect how WWII changed society. During the war, fashion designers emphasized manliness. In peacetime, a womanly silhouette returned. Then, in the 1950s, girlishness became the rage. Exhibit will be on display from May 15 to August 23, 2015. Curated by Ivan Sayers & Claus Jahnke.

Developed by the Museum of Vancouver. Ay Ay Mut (Beautiful) Hallway Exhibit: Featuring the art of William Good, Sandra Moorhouse Good and their family, this community hallway exhibit runs from June 1 - July 31, 2015. The Goods owned Art of the Siem gallery in downtown Nanaimo which showcased contemporary First Nations art. The family will have art pieces for sale in the Nanaimo Museum’s gift shop for the duration of the display.
