To celebrate Culture Days, and in conjunction with our exhibition Rhythmically Repeated: Alistair Bell, new acquisitions, Nanaimo Art Gallery is hosting a drop-in printmaking workshop with local artist, Aaram� Robillard. Aaram� will demonstrate the linocut printmaking process. Come down and carve a block or simply watch the demonstration. In this demonstration you can learn how to carve linocuts, find out what simple tools you need to create these prints at home, and see a hand-built printing press. The workshop is for all ages. Pre-cut printing blocks will be provided for children who may be too young to handle carving tools. Join us any time between 1 pm and 4pm on Saturday, September 28 at 150 Commercial Street. Admission is pay-what-you-can.
