One of the eagerly awaited events of the year in Victoria, the Cultural Festival of India, is a colorful & vibrant event for all communities & ages. Held at the Victoria Hindu Temple in Saanichton, it attracts visitors from the greater Victoria area and beyond.

The event is an unforgettable experience, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the culture, cuisine and traditions of India. There is delicious food to taste (for a small price), music and dance with delightful audio-visual presentations, astrology, palmistry, henna (palm painting), and many other interesting activities for everyone to enjoy - regardless of your age or gender. Hindi Tent
Did you know Hindi, a national language of India, is spoken by 300+ million people, making it the 4th most spoken language in the world. At the Hindi tent in the event, you have a chance to not only find out more about HINDI but also get to learn alphabets & numbers and even you can get your name written in HINDI.

Vedic Architecture/Vastu
Learn about the ancient art of interpreting ones home plans with Vedic Architecture and Vastu principals that assert the connection between health and well being. This is your unique opportunity to understand about this system and see how you can benefit from it.

Cooking demo - Indian Food
The cooking demos are your opportunity to find out and learn how some of the popular Indian food items are cooked. The demo give you a chance to understand not only the cooking methods and recipes but also ask questions to the experts.
