Cultivate Performing Arts Festival on Gabriola is all about finding your rhythm. We have 20 performances lined up with everything from Jazz to Baroque, Cajun to Americana/Soul. We welcome the likes of Duncan Symonds, Tina Jones, Royal Cajun Band and more, plus closing out the festival is Frazey Ford. Van Tap Society is also putting on a fabulous show with multiple dancers, in the round with live music.

You will also be able to take in the Rhythm art show and the Rhythm of the Night Market. Spread out around the island, this nine day festival hosts two performances a day. There is a little something for everyone and very ferry friendly for timing, Kids 15 and under enter free and there is a free family day with the Sundaze deejays, Playbriola adventure cardboard building, and Nanaimo's own Space Disco Band. If you like Summer Camp Stories and Chanty sing, the last day of the festival has free performances too. We are also hosing Dave Bodaly and Celestine Alek as storytellers from Snuneymuxw First Nation. Like we said, a little something for everyone.

Hop a ferry and come to Gabriola for an afternoon or an evening concert. See some local art and eat at local eateries. They are all listed on the website with their times and locations and most have Cultivate specials during the festival.
