Gabriola’s Cultivate Festival connects people through inspiring art, dynamic music, engaging theatre, and all forms of play. Designed to appeal to every generation and all walks of life, and lovingly curated to bring folks together to celebrate, revel, and enjoy, this weekend-long community congregation offers a rich environment where we can dance away the summer, and welcome the season of harvest and cultivation.

Cultivate strives to bring a sense of community, a feeling of connection, and to include all sorts of people in the fun. It is a multi-generational festival with something for everyone - colourful creatives for the children, established folk artists crooning to the parents, as well as dance beats keeping the adult children on their feet well into the night. We want each and everyone of you to feel that you are being represented.

A family festival - grandparents with grandchildren, parents with their parents, blood relatives playing with chosen family members - Cultivate is a place to grow relationships through music, art and theatre. Making art requires being vulnerable and taking chances, and we are asking you to put yourself out there and try creating new relationships by connecting on the dance floor, getting your faces painted in the Family Zone, or by simply chatting over a glass of craft beer.
