Creativity Bootcamp: Exploring Your Inner Artist
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
The workshop, taught by textile artist Natalie Grambow, will explore creativity through images, materials and idea development. Students will be guided through the elements and principles of design, such as balance, symmetry, harmony, contrast, unity; and these will provide a creative structure for the development of work.
Students will learn to visually narrate stories incorporating personal references and applying design principles. Approaches such as image deconstruction, mono-printing, writing, and drawing will be used as ways to develop content and composition.
Students will leave the workshop with a creative journal (which will provide a valuable source for future ideas and project development) as well as a series of small textile art pieces.
